KOI is a fully authentic Japanese and Thai Restaurant operating in Paphos,Cyprus and has been established since July, 2008. Our aim has always been to offer the best in traditional Japanese and Thai cuisine and most quality customer service and environment.

The word "koi" comes from Japanese, simply meaning "carp." It includes both the dull grey fish and the brightly colored varieties. A homophone of koi means "love, affection" and koi are therefore symbols of love and friendship in Japan..

Guests are served authentic Japanese and Thai cuisine prepared by traditional cooking techniques. Owner, Nikos Charalambous personally purchases the fresh produce and fish on a daily basis and oversees all menu items. This allows Koi to offer a wide variety of dishes that compliment any guest from families, overseas travelers and anyone who appreciates japanese & Thai cuisine.

The KOI team is always developing new ways to express Japanese cuisine in Paphos, Cyprus. Through dedicated work, longevity and an impressive reputation in the restaurant business, KOI is well known throughout the city of Paphos and the rest of the island as a top Japanese restaurant, also Koi Thai Japapnese is going to be a canditate restaurant for the "Best Cyprus's Japanese Restaurant " award in 2009.
